Corsair's latest gaming chair, the TC200, blends a sleek design with ergonomic comfort as one of the best chairs currently on the market.

Among the leaders of top-tier gaming peripherals, Corsair Gaming hardware includes an impressive line of gaming chairs. Corsair's latest is the TC200 Gaming Chair, a sleekly-designed throne that puts any gamer in the captain's chair, maximizing comfort and utility. While the TC200 does come at a higher price than most of its immediate counterparts, it is still reasonably priced compared to other high-end gaming chairs on the market and more than justifies its cost.

Coming in either a soft fabric or leatherette exterior, gamers can also choose between all black or a white/gray color for the TC200. This is a chair built to accommodate and provide comfort to all. Clocking in at just under six feet, the gaming chair can be raised to nearly six and a half, with armrests and side cushions to comfortably support different frames. The cushions on the TC200 are designed specifically to lend the comfy support needed for a marathon gaming session and are soft yet firm enough to stay comfortably reclined rather than falling into the cushion -- right out of the box.

Regarding assembly, all the required tools are included with the package, and the entire chair can be assembled sturdily within an hour. The instructions are relatively easy to follow along, and the finished chair only requires about ten screws in all to help fasten together the various components. The TC200 possesses a five-star base, made of steel like the frame, with a Class 4 gas lift to enable elevation with ease as gamers customize which height is perfect for their needs.

Once assembled, the reclining functionality and locks work seamlessly, allowing for a full recline for anyone looking to lay all the back for whatever reason. One of the highlights is a 4D armrest, perfect for resting a controller or a keyboard, with Corsair's own K70 RGB Pro Mini Keyboard pairing well in that capacity. The armrests themselves are able to easily shift around to fit gamer preferences. An optional head pillow, which comes included, can be attached to the headrest of the chair, offering even more ergonomic comfort.

While the $400 price tag for the TC200 might seem a bit staggering, especially with other competing bargain models priced at less than $100, it is important to note that this is a high-end gaming chair that actually costs less than some of its comparable counterparts. Gamers who aren't as invested in getting a top-of-the-line gaming chair may want to look elsewhere, but for the serious gamer looking to get something slickly designed and with the performance to match, the TC200 fits the bill quite nicely.

The racing-inspired design of the overall chair helps add to the overall aesthetic, putting it a cut far above a typical rolling office chair. Corsair has built a solid reputation for putting out quality gaming peripherals and hardware, and that distinction continues with the TC200. Easy to build and supremely comfortable, the gaming chair is definitely designed for the serious gamer and one of the cooler-looking products currently available on the market. Well worth the price, the Corsair TC200 Gaming Chair is a fantastic, sleek addition that rises above the rest of its competitors as one of the best chairs out today.

The Corsair TC200 is available now with an MSRP of $399.99. CBR was provided with a unit by the manufacturer for review purposes.
