The prefabricated house sector is booming in Spain, boosted by the coronavirus crisis.Thus, there are many companies and architecture studios that put out their proposals.This is the case of Liten, the first prefabricated house of Onarc, a startup that is part of the Lanzadera business accelerator, promoted by Juan Roig, owner of Mercadona.The company has explained to this medium the details of this proposal.How did the idea for Liten come about?Onarc is a startup dedicated to the design and construction of sustainable housing.This idea comes from an international university architecture project in which the three members of the team agree.After this, we decided to go a step further and form a startup, during the first phases we decided to start with a small-sized model aimed at rural tourism.In addition, we took the current situation caused by the pandemic as a starting point, and thought about what solution we could provide to users.That is why we designed a small space that would not have a great impact when placed in natural environments and with which to favor the reactivation of small towns through sustainable, responsible and respectful tourism.How did you get into Lanzadera and what help does it provide you?The Onarc team came from being part of Azalea UPV, an architecture and engineering project of the Polytechnic University of Valencia.From there, we decided to present a proposal related to industrialization and sustainable housing to Lanzadera and after a selection process we became part of its start program in September 2020.Lanzadera provides us with a unique entrepreneurial ecosystem, made up of more than 300 startups.We also receive advice from our project manager and his partners, as well as continuous training.Why is the prefabricated house sector booming?The industrialization of housing is a sector on the rise due to the multiple advantages it offers compared to traditional construction.During the last years it has been in Europe and every time it begins to penetrate more in our country.Once society gets rid of the negative connotations that industrialization or prefabrication have, the sector can grow tremendously.Today speed is an essential factor when purchasing a product.The industrialization of housing allows tasks to be carried out simultaneously, optimizing the final result and accelerating processes, even reducing the time of a traditional work by half.What price does Liten have and what does it include?The price starts at 39,000 euros.The customer is also given the possibility of configuring the model and choosing different types of finishes, from exterior cladding to the type of flooring, so the final price may vary depending on the final choice.The price of transport and urban planning licenses are not included in the price, as it may vary depending on the final location.What are Liten prefabricated houses like?Liten is a model designed to be a minimal home or sustainable cabin rather than a first residence.That is why it has 24 square meters of living space, 30m2 with a machine room.In its Hide configuration it has a bedroom with integrated kitchen and bathroom, in the housing annex configuration the bedroom is replaced by a small living room and in the study by a work space.How long do you take to build a house?The times in which we are currently working are counted from when all the technical documentation has been specified and the project has been approved.At that time, the construction time in the factory is estimated between 4-6 months, depending both on the size of the project and the number of projects that are being carried out at the same time.In the case of Liten, it is estimated at 4 months.Parallel to the factory construction, the adaptation of the land is carried out and the foundation is prepared to have everything ready for the moment of implantation on the plot.Once the model is ready, it is transported to the final location and its assembly time is 1-2 days.What should the buyer bear?It depends on the final configuration of Liten.If you opt for the completely self-sufficient model, you would only have to take care of the relevant licenses for a house.If, on the other hand, its completely autonomous configuration is not chosen, its hydraulic and electrical connection should also be taken into account.What is your target audience?Our target audience is made up of men and women between the ages of 30 and 60 with a medium-high purchasing power.They are people looking for a second residence where they can enjoy nature or who are thinking of creating a rural tourism business.Do you deliver them to all of Spain?We currently deliver Liten to the entire peninsula and we are preparing the logistics to be able to carry out transport to the
